Stick the pin thru the top hole and leave about 3/8" above the stock...then tighten setscrew slightly and Check the lock/unlock function. Adjust if needed. I'll be using the stock sights on my Marlin 795 until I can do something different. It's shooting a couple of inches to the right, so I apparently need to tap the rear sight base to the left. Sounds easy enough, but out in the field I apparently wasn't tapping correctly.
