On our 14' Acadia at 44,000 miles last year, the AC started blowing hot air. Cabin filter had all ready been changed. Freon was at 1.2 lbs, they checked the rear evaporator and okay. Recharged the AC with dye and come back in 2 weeks for a check. After 2 weeks, no leaks and still nice cold air. We had the same problem with our 2008 Acadia. On the first visit our dealer said they performed a reflash of the A/C control unit. It didn't help. When it finally always blew warm air in a/c mode then they discovered it was the actuator in the driver side vent. Repair price $1400+. Just wanted to share an experience with our 2015 GMC Acadia. At about 14,700 miles our AC stopped blowing cool air. Of course this happens at the peak of the heat of summer. We just had it repaired under warranty and it was the rear evaporator core was leaking refrigerant and they had to replace the evaporator core and the blower motor case.
