The Sig Sauer SP2022 is a 9mm, 15 round, hammer-fired, compact handgun. I believe I’m said before that I’m not sure a 15 round gun should be called “compact,” but that’s the convention so I’ll work with it. According to Sig it even has “ Carry ” in its name. I recently did a review of a carry holster for this gun.But biggest complaint is lack of aftermarket support and modularity. 320, 365, g17 and 19 can be modified to your liking. There isn’t much if anything for the 2022. If you have the budget for it get a P226 for a hammer fired. It’s an iconic Sig and there are a lot of accessories for it.

SIG's 2012 catalogue states (paraphrase) "smaller grip included" with gun. This would lead one to believe that the higher the number, the smaller the grip. Or maybe mine was reversed.The Sig SP2022 is a price point gun at $679 MSRP which might be a touch high when compared to other polymer framed guns but it handles less like a Glock or Sigs P302 and more like a Sig Sauer P229 with an MSRP of $979.
