It really compliments the rainbow crystal as it has much farther range. Place it a bit closer to the ground than the rainbow crystal. Kind of depends, for stuff like Old ones army or goblin invasion Lunar Portal staff, because it kind of hits everything on the ground In every other case I would say rainbow crystal, because it can attack multiple directions simultaneously and also attack flying enemy's reliably, both of these the lunar portal really can't do.The Crystal Flare Staff is a craftable Hardmode wand.
