As someone who will be putting full no-intro rom sets on the steam deck I wouldn't want to clutter my steam library with literally thousands and thousands of (more) games. I like to keep my roms being launched in a dedicated front end for that. whether or not the deck can run things besides games from the steam store? because the way it looked to me is that we can just access the steam store from the default UI? The Deck is a pc, not a console. So you can run any Linux applications on it. Or, you can install or dual boot Windows and run any Windows applications.I will note one issue I had was my port forwarding, I did have to port forward port 7000 TCP and 6000-6009 UDP as per the website to make connections to other players actually work. That's not Steam Deck specific though, that's networking, so that may not happen to you.
