Nothing works. Someone in NN suggested deleting entire gear set and re-doing it. Fine. Deleted the gear set completely. Made brand new gear set. Created brand new portrait. Saved it. Used it as instant portrait. Entered unscynced dungeon - "Instant portrait reverted to default. Current appearance and/or gear does not match that shown in portrait". The button for "New Portrait" is gone, the "Edit" button is greyed out and it's deleted all my past portraits I've saved within the last few months. I play on a PC and a Laptop and the problem persists for both platforms, it only lets me edit my Adventurer Plate portrait and have no way of applying it for Instant Portrait as every time I PvP it ...Sage Lv 90. Every slight change defaults it, including adding rooms, adding or removing materia or changing if head peice is visible it not. Entirely defeats the purpose when the most minor change defaults the entire card. Portraits are dependent on Gear Sets. There are some hats that Viera unable to use. If your previous race used a glam, or has a glam plate with those hats saved on it, its just not gonna work with Viera now. Perhaps that is the problem. I solved my instant portrait issue hopefully I can help you. first make sure there are NO other gear sets with the same class that you are trying to link your portrait to. If it's still an issue for anyone else reading this, try just saving the gear set as an entirely new gearset and use that instead.
