He was born, November 24, 1948, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Clark Woodrow and Lulu Virginia Netzer Matlack. Gary was a 1968 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He was a U. S. Marine Corp Veteran serving from 1968 to 1986.
